Tis' the season to be healthy.

Gotta DroP some soup into the immune system, you dont have to eat to some soup.

Tis' the season to cut up some vegetables to add to the soup to give nutrients to your body especially since yo may have flooded your body with the holidays sweets and stuffings.

Tis' the season to use leftover chicken and turkey and create something tasty, healthy and needed to keep moving towards a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Also by adding your protein, vegatables and whole grain pasta noodles, this can serve as a meal.

Make healthy choices. This and something better is about to happen.

My Last Marathon!

A new challenge approaches me as I end my marathon ventures with my Dad. I had decided back in 2006 that I would not run anymore marathons because of the pain and knee injuries I was having. I hadnt a point to prove any longer and I had completed 4 marathons at that time. I wanted to finish faster, however I had accomplished the goal.

In June 2007 my Dad passed. He lived in pain and never did he give a piddy party while laying bed ridden. He was very strong, a joy to be around and he was my best friend, my hero. I decided to dedicate running with my Dad hand in hand by carrying his drumstick. 2010, my fourth marathon later with him, I have decided to stop ignoring the pain in my knees and focus on a new challenge.

My Dad lived with high blood pressure and the medications the majority of his life. He strongly advised me to never start taking the med's if I was ever diagnosed. Well, I was diagnosed early. I found that I had HBP through a change of events like passing out, the room fading to black, my equalibrium being off and my lims going numb.

Once, I passed out in the gym and when I awoke there were many unrecognized faces standing in a circle over me trying to bring me back. I went to doctor and my numbers were so high that she prescribed me a high numbers of different meds to begin right away. I refused the meds and ask for another options. She had me to said a waiver for refusing the meds and recommended exercise, meal change and breathing techniques. I have made a life style change. It wasnt easy, it was necessary.

I love you Daddy and we have a new challenge. "What is it Pamela Ann?" Body Sculpting, lets keep DRoPPING IT! I will still keep running, but our challenging distance will now be 13.1 miles, the half marathons! Im going to start skating again now too! Thanks Dad for being my hero and giving me the champion within to keep DRoPPING IT!

Make IT Happen!

Make it happen! Make a sheet to post on your wall of what you want. This is your reality board. Now it is time to turn your thoughts into words, your words into a habits and your habits into reality. You have to know what your want to get where you want. In order to make it happen lets start with "what you want?" It could be a smaller waistline, loss weight, a healthier living, fit by fifty, your first triathlon, a better sample of health for your children or a free way of staying away from the doctor. Whatever it is you have to be specific. Write it down.
Set a specific date to reach your goal. Make a realistic goal date to achieve your goal that won't stress you out. Make a schedule that you can devote to regularly. If you have low energy and there is not enough time in your day to sleep, than this is a time management issue. You are beaten your self up to do everything else but you. How will you continue by getting sick about four times a year. Look at your schedule and eliminate what it is that is taking those 45 minutes for your exercise and DRoP IT. Think of what's really not a priority and is interfering in your health. You want an example? Okay, the television, the computer and the phone. We will go deeper into detail on another page, but make a more conscious amount of time for yourself and start doing less of the nothingness to do you more!
Having an accountability partner, group or resource to help keep your word. This is such a valuable part of making it happen. When you commit to what you want and share what you are going to do, you are going to have a lot of doubters. You have said this before, but you keep doing it the same way all the time. Your partner will hold you to it and they believe in you. This time you have to believe in you, do it different and DRoP the excuses. Your word and your effort will be supported and your testimony will inspire. Make sure you share in your efforts to better health.
Know what you want and make a plan to achieve it. In order to work a plan you have to follow a plan. Research what you want, join a challenge, join a gym or something that will work for what you want. Know what to do, how to do and when to do it. If you don't know, ask. Make an effort, find it. Joining a group which share the same commonmotivation, inspires you will help you to achieve your goal. Opening and changing your mind set will give another way of making it happen. You cant keep doing the same thing the same way and get different results.

What's your reward? Your reward is achieving what you have set out to do for so long and continue by making it a lifestyle. It inspires others to better health and consciousness. The benefits are more unseen but now felt through your energy and the power to make you your priority. Make it count, make it happen, make an effort and make it DRoP!

High Blood Pressure

Many adults have high blood pressure. Some are required medical treatment and some are learning to control it. Medication cause side effects which troubles takers, which gives the dillusion od being angry and sad. Untereated HBP may lead to hypertension and cause heart disease, stroke and kidney failure.

Alternative ways to batlling HBP is a matter of controlling the mind, eating habits, resperation (breathing) and exercising 3-4 days a week. Control your breathing with a breathing exercise 20 minutes a day with music. Take the time with your to breath your regular pace to a dramatically slow pace. Start by enhaling and exhale to relax the muscle which dilates small bllod vessels so that the blood will flow more freely.

Ways to lower blood pressure are:
Plannig regular power walks, make an effort and work up a sweat.
Breath deeply, try to relax in situations that are not in your control.
Eat potassium enriched produce such as celery or bananas.
Read the food labels, go with less sodium.
Take supplements such as mutivitamins an prescribed medications.
If you drink coffee go decaf.
Replace coffee drinking and go tea.
Drink less alcohol
Work less, by not over working yourself on the job.
Relax to music
Watch what you eat, eat healthy.

Make life style changes, lose the the extra pounds and especially around the waist, which puts you at a higher risk. Commit to yourself. work yourself more than you work your job. Keep your levels controlled, when your pressure goes you shouls know why. Check your vitals and know you ate, the people you were around and different situations which caused your pressure to rise. Make a record, document and compare. Eat more grain, fruits, vegetables, reduce your sodium and exercise. Major grocery store offer free vital machine to help monitor your pressure. NO excuse. Lets keep DRoPPING IT!

This and somthing better is about to happen. Lets keep DRoPPING IT!

Team Building

I have anticipated building muscles for years and have procastinated
because I didnt see it being all that important. But do we have to
wait til it hurts bad enough to know its necessary to take care of
ourselves as we get older? We have to make more of an effort to stay
healthier. Our mind is set on depending on the doctors call if health
becomes a problem and it will if you have nothing to do with it.

Aches and pain started coming from no where before I realize it was
the lack of movement. My motivation was becoming less encouring and
this had to change. The connections with people of the same mind
became so motivating and exciting. The movement went from my feet,
flowing through my blood and to the brain. Creativity became grand
and the right and left brain did it's thing. "I need to connect with
more people." The connection was made to find that I was are never
alone just had to connect.

Get involved, instead of taking action when the warning signs come,
start making action now. Change the way you eat. DROP the white
flour, sodas and sugars. DROP eating an hour before you go to sleep,
give your body a 3 hour window. DROP the remote control and control
your actions to get out and add at the least 30 minutes of
exercise to your life a day. DROP the signs of a red flag being
part of your bill of health. Its not to late do it now. Give yourself
an opportunity to join your doctors downline or let me help you make
your own.

This started with the running group, then to more art projects and

then with the challenges and so on. A healthy mind lapse to more
positive possiblilities. To increase health and wellness, to live
healthiers lives and to motivate others give you drive to unleash
your true potential. Dont live be tired just to retire, your health
is your wealth.

Nutritional products are important to our health and for those who
are not afraid to take control prior to the yellow or red flag has
warned us, I would like to hear from you. Productivity is building,
and I am looking for the right people, productive people to build
with. Im looking for a team. I am looking for five people to team up
with in this plan to help others. Who will like to join me?

Lets Continue to DROP IT.
This and something better is about to happen.

Short Recovery Let"s DROP IT Again!

Welcome back BIG PAY BACK Challengers.
One day break we are back to day and choose a day
either Saturday or Sunday.

(Arrange your schedule to eat around 5 times a day in small portions)
High Protein Diet Foods – A Key Ingredient for Weight Loss

Click here for your sit up video

High protein foods have been proven track record to help you lose more weight. Protein is one of the basic building blocks of the human body. (Around 16% of your total body weight.) It plays a major role in all of the cells and most of the fluids found in your body. In addition, many of your bodies' important chemicals are at least partially made up of protein. Muscle, hair, skin, and connective tissue are mainly made up of protein.

Obesity has been increasing at an unprecedented rate in the United States and worldwide. 65% of the US population is considered overweight and about 33% are clinically Obese. This trend is also on the rise among children and teenagers. Due to the other health related problems associated with excess body weight, (such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, Diabetes, and cardiovascular disease), Obesity is now perceived as a world wide epidemic.

Your Protein Needs

High protein diet foods spark glucose production in the small intestine, which satiates hunger and makes you feel full. Eating high protein diet foods suppresses your appetite, which helps you eat less food. Some evidence also suggest that diets higher in protein increase fat loss as compared to diets lower in protein.

~A good protein rich diet is required for optimum health as your muscles, (which constitute about 40-50% of the body mass), are mostly composed of it.
~Higher protein diets have been associated with lower blood pressure and reduced risk of coronary heart disease.
~The exchange of protein for carbohydrates has been shown to improve blood lipids.
~Higher protein diets facilitate significant weight loss when compared to a lower protein diet.

List of High Protein Diet Foods:

Beef, Steak, Beef cuts, Chicken, Chicken breast, Chicken thigh, Drumstick, Wing, Chicken, cooked,

Celebrate Your Smallest Victories!

I received my first author's award today. I say celebrate your smallest victories not given weight to the term small, to truly acknowledge all! I started writing as a means to vent and express my silence when I wasnt creating my art. Changing my words into a children story I found it to be quite entertaining. My daughter posed for me to create the characters in the book and I found a publisher. I was given a deadline to to submit the manuscript, my Dad passed the day before and I was lost. A week later I called in regard to the deadline and it was too late.

I did write much anymore and craved to paint. Many journeys has lead me back to writing and evetyone writes. So in the manner I consider it to be a small victory and also because I never expected to receive an award. I love that I am able to share my words, my life and hopefully motivate others to do the same. I know this is what keeps us going! Thank you for celebrating with me.

The words from Jack Cranfield book
"This and something better is about to happen." I keep believing that.

Shake 'TIL YOU FEEL BETTER!

THE MOST HARMFUL THING you can do is BE STILL!

THE MOST HARMFUL THING, you can do to yourself is BE STILL!

If you you feel yourself being stiff,
that's a clue to stretch.

If you feel lazy, tired and non-motivated
that's a clue to eat better.
If you don't feel like talking to someone cause there energy level is so high it makes you tired,
that's a clue to take a multivitamin daily and exercise.

If your chest is tightening,
head hurting and blood pressure is up
that's a clue: DROP THAT pressure!
You have been to STILL!

Get up and "SHAKE 'TIL YOU FEEL" better!
James Brown wasn't shouting that for nothing,
he was wanting you to keep it moving!

DROP something today:
DROP some minutes on the treadmill
DROP more nutrients to the body,
DROP in some time running around with the kids!

For the Beginner.
I started using books for additional advice when I started running marathons. I gradually worked my way up to a marathon within one year's time in 2001. The training was grueling. I didnt consider the length of time, time of day, clothes to wear, sock, running shoe type, what to eat or training the right distance at the right time. That didnt keep me from pursuing the journey.

I started reading "how to's" and found a group of people who were familiar with the sport and joined them.

I look forward to hearing more of your running journey and following your blog. Click the follow button on this page so we can be buddies for the long haul! Run Steady! Pamela

Come To Win

The mindset is important. You have to come ready to win. Winning dont happen over night, it takes conditioning, practice, focus and developing habits that will last.

Venus book is soon to release July 1st on how sports can help you top your profession. It is directed to leaders, artist, doctors and other visionaries.
Training is key.

Get Up and GO!

I want share how to turn what you been doing into a life style and making residual income from
your workout outs. By sharing your testimony, motivating others and a little work could change yours
and many other peoples lives as well.

I understand that you may not be motivated and your "get up and go" have "gone off and went."
But if you wont read the emails, follow them or response then I cant help you.

Im a runner, artist and entrepreneur. I am also a coach for marketing and demonstrate ways to make
residual income. I have a passion for what I do and have always found creative ways to make money
while doing it. Now I want to share and give value to those who want it.
Opportunities come and go and I want to help but you have to first be able to help yourself. You have to
want to make a difference in your life. I would love to know that I help someone change their health
and there wealth through exercise, consistency and training. I have motivated people to run or walk their
first 5k, 10k and half marathon.

Only 1% of the world's population will run, less will run a marathon. Only 3% of marketers become
succuessful. Less percentage of artist make their talents a full time living. Why are these numbers so low?
I have found that what we eat make us lazy. It is also the mindset and our priorities that makes us not
want be consistant with our goals. That main reason why the numbers are low is because it is so much
easier to just give up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T38NOKiUBdI

Training is key, Im not giving up!
Im looking for five people who wants team up and this and something better happen!

Invest in Yourself

The reward comes after the run. I feel energitic, alive, my blood flowing through my body and most of all I am motivated to take on the day. The hardest part of the day is over.
I have killed procastion and have invested in myself.

With the energy I have I am able to go to my "things to do" list and and select the task that
I find to be the most difficult and check that one off first. It becomes the
"things done" list a lot faster. The day have started off
productively and your attitude is positive.

As time goes on gradually take the miles up and so the amount of time. Since I am making my
health my wealth I also reward myself one dollar for every ten minutes that I run and
for those of you that walk use the same concept.

Consider what your reward is by the end of the week. You'll have $20 at the least. Another way
of saving your health is avoiding the drive thru and fast food places.
Wealth is growing and with this something
better is about to happen.

In the beginning a minimum of 150-200 minutes a week are suggested in training. Plan an event to complete as a goal so you will continue forward to your goal. Have a partner
that help keep you motivated and another for your back up. Find a day
of the week to run in a group. This will allow you to look forward
to meeting again with familiar faces.

I look forward to hearing about your run, event or group run please share in the comment box below!

DROP THAT SODA POP!

What Soft Drinks are Doing to Your Body
By Dr. Maoshing Ni - PDT Dr. Mao's Secrets of Longevity

Soda, pop, cola, soft drink — whatever you call it, it is one of the worst beverages that you could be drinking for your health. As the debate for whether to put a tax on the sale of soft drinks continues, you should know how they affect your body so that you can make an informed choice on your own.

Soft drinks are hard on your health
Soft drinks contain little to no vitamins or other essential nutrients. However, it is what they do contain that is the problem: caffeine, carbonation, simple sugars — or worse, sugar substitutes — and often food additives such as artificial coloring, flavoring, and preservatives.

A lot of research has found that consumption of soft drinks in high quantity, especially by children, is responsible for many health problems that include tooth decay, nutritional depletion, obesity, type-2 diabetes, and heart disease. (See: Liquid Candy: How Soft Drinks are Harming Americans' Health.)

Why the sugar in soft drinks isn’t so sweet
Most soft drinks contain a high amount of simple sugars. The USDA recommendation of sugar consumption for a 2,000-calorie diet is a daily allotment of 10 teaspoons of added sugars. Many soft drinks contain more than this amount!

Just why is too much sugar so unhealthy? Well, to start, let's talk about what happens to you as sugar enters your body. When you drink sodas that are packed with simple sugars, the pancreas is called upon to produce and release insulin, a hormone that empties the sugar in your blood stream into all the tissues and cells for usage. The result of overindulging in simple sugar is raised insulin levels. Raised blood insulin levels beyond the norm can lead to depression of the immune system, which in turn weakens your ability to fight disease.

DROP IT RIGHT HERE! (Dr. Mao didnt say DROP IT, I did)
Something else to consider is that most of the excess sugar ends up being stored as fat in your body, which results in weight gain and elevates risk for heart disease and cancer. One study found that when subjects were given refined sugar, their white blood cell count decreased significantly for several hours afterwards. Another study discovered that rats fed a high-sugar diet had a substantially elevated rate of breast cancer when compared to rats on a regular diet. (See: Hoehn, SK et al: "Complex versus simple carbohydrates and mammary tumors in mice." Nutr Cancer 1979; 1: 27.)

The health effects of diet soda
You may come to the conclusion that diet or sugar-free soda is a better choice. However, one study discovered that drinking one or more soft drinks a day — and it didn’t matter whether it was diet or regular — led to a 30% greater chance of weight gain around the belly.

Diet soda is filled with artificial sweeteners such as aspartame, sucralose, or saccharin. These artificial sweeteners pose a threat to your health. Saccharin, for instance, has been found to be carcinogenic, and studies have found that it produced bladder cancer in rats.
Aspartame, commonly known as nutrasweet, is a chemical that stimulates the brain to think the food is sweet. It breaks down into acpartic acid, phenylalanine, and methanol at a temperature of 86 degrees. (Remember, your stomach is somewhere around 98 degrees.) An article put out by the University of Texas found that aspartame has been linked to obesity. The process of stimulating the brain causes more cravings for sweets and leads to carbohydrate loading.
Carbonation depletes calcium
Beverages with bubbles contain phosphoric acid, which can severely deplete the blood calcium levels; calcium is a key component of the bone matrix. With less concentration of calcium over a long time, it can lower deposition rates so that bone mass and density suffer. This means that drinking sodas and carbonated water increases your risk of osteoporosis. (See: AJCN)

Add in the caffeine usually present in soft drinks, and you are in for even more trouble. Caffeine can deplete the body’s calcium, in addition to stimulating your central nervous system and contributing to stress, a racing mind, and insomnia.

Skip the soda and go for:
• Fresh water
Water is a vital beverage for good health. Each and every cell needs water to perform its essential functions. Since studies show that tap water is filled with contaminants, antibiotics, and a number of other unhealthy substances, consider investing in a quality carbon-based filter for your tap water. To find out more about a high-performance filtration system, click here.

On the go? Try using a stainless steel thermos or glass bottle, filled with filtered water. Enhance the flavor of your water with a refreshing infusion of basil, mint leaves, and a drop of honey.

• Fruit Juice
If you are a juice drinker, try watering down your juice to cut back on the sugar content. Buy a jar of organic 100% juice, especially cranberry, acai, pomegranate, and then dilute three parts filtered water to one part juice. You will get a subtle sweet taste and the benefit of antioxidants. After a couple of weeks, you will no longer miss the sweetness of sugary concentrated juices.

• Tea
Tea gently lifts your energy and has numerous health benefits. Black, green, white, and oolong teas all contain antioxidant polyphenols. In fact, tea ranks as high or higher than many fruits and vegetables on the ORAC scale, the score that measures antioxidant potential of plant-based foods.
Herbal tea does not have the same antioxidant properties, though it is still a great beverage choice with other health benefits, such as inducing calming and relaxing effects.
If tea doesn’t satisfy your sweet tooth, try adding cinnamon or a little honey, which has important health benefits that refined sugar lacks. For a selection of healthy teas that promote total body wellness, click here. Drink up!

How To Eat Healthy

Here's another article that I will like to share with you:
We all know that weight loss begins at the mouth. Your nutrition determines how and if you will shed pounds. So, what should you eat to lose weight?

In order to lose weight in a healthy way for the long term you need to eat a sensible and balanced diet with all the major food groups like carbs, fat, and protein, so all must be included in your diet. It is the quality of these nutrients which will determine your success... or failure.
Healthy Protein
You need to eat protein from lean sources. In that way you will get your protein sources without also eating unnecessary fats. Good sources of protein include:
Tuna Salmon
Egg whites
Chicken breast
Turkey
Beans
Lentils
Nuts and almonds
Healthy Carbs
Carbs are considered the enemy by many people who wish to lose weight but this is not the case. The truth is that some carbs are good and some are bad. You need to eat high quality complex carbs to feel full and shed fat. Carbs are necessary so don't cut them down too drastically for too long.
Here are some sources of good, healthy carbs:Wild rice
Sweet potatos
Fruit and vegetables
Nuts of all sorts
Almonds
Whole flour bread
Whole pasta
Healthy Fat
Fat is considered the arch-enemy of course and it's counter-intuitive to believe that you need to eat fat in order to lose fat. But the fact remains: our body needs fat to function well and operate as it should. It's just a fact of life. Don't make the mistake of eliminating fats from your diet. It will backfire. Here are some healthy source of fat you should eat to lose weight:
Olive oil
coconut oil
Fish oil
Nuts and almonds
flax seeds

As always, the key is moderation. Don't eat too much or too little of any one thing. Do that and you will lose weight.

Turning an Obstacle Into an Opportunity

I started a venture in business which was totally brand new to me, Multi-Level Marketing. Even though I have been in business for myself for over 30 years, no one has ever approached me about MLM and I had no knowledge of its concept. I enrolled from looking at all the checks that were flashed in from of me and the product impressed me as well. I saw the opportunity as a no brainer everyone will want into this, was my thought. My up-line gave me the "this is how we did it and you can do it too" speech, sent me on my way with a "Let's Rock n' Roll." http://www.ardysslife.com/Opportunity.aspx?ID=droppingit
The thoughts of giving up was trying to surface but I couldn't allow it. It seemed I was running out of people and family and friends were tired of seeing me coming. I was unsure of what to do now. Not knowing what to do I called my up-line for guidance and they would tell me "Rock and Roll, get your business cards, book showcases and go to the malls." You start to build your team and you express to them to do the same. The motivational level of new distributors are on fire when the money is their motive only. A true entrepreneur sees the task, knows the levels of patience that comes with results. As an entrepreneur I also knew, that there had to be a better way than this.  http://www.ardysslife.com/Opportunity.aspx?ID=droppingit
I know I needed to talk to more people and faster and establish more relationships. I needed people that I can present to. This product is awesome, now how can I get in more faces. My husband and I have been full-time artist for the last 18 years. Due to the economy our situation change and my husband took on a full time job. Being that we worked from home we only needed one car, which we shared, no problem. When he was hired I had no way to go out and prospect. That is when it all changed. People who I made contact with from months ago, I started to call and email. That was not quite enough people, so I went to Facebook.
http://www.ardysslife.com/Opportunity.aspx?ID=droppingit
Someone had sent me a join type of email, so I ventured and the venture has been good.
When I initially thought about the MLM business, I wondered "Why isn't everyone doing this? From the outside it looks easy." When I had to lead I had to keep in mind that even though the checks look nice, very few people really wanted to be in sales. I realize that when you're leading people in a business opportunity such as this, it is difficult to process. You become accustom to the habit of the work force. To others it is easier to get up, gas up and spend up all day at the job. It has become a habit. I figure habits can be broken and training and proper leadership can change the attitude. http://www.ardysslife.com/CompensationPlan.aspx?ID=droppingit
The attitude, mindset and proper training will allow a successful MLM representative and team. To develop a a great team you need great leadership and awesome mentor. Instead of giving up when you know leadership is the answer, seek it. I went and found some great leaders and followed them on online which lead me to write this article. http://www.ardysslife.com/Opportunity.aspx?ID=droppingit
My situation changed with transportation, I adjusted and turned my situation into opportunity. I began to create an online presence and developing online relationship. I want to share a quote from an entrepreneur in which I shared on Facebook today ""When you reach an obstacle, turn it into an opportunity. You have the choice. You can overcome and be a winner, or you can allow it to overcome you. The choice is yours and yours alone. Refuse to throw in the towel. Go that extra mile that failures refuse to travel. It is far better to be exhausted from success than to be rested from failure." Mary Kay Ash, founder of Mary Kay Cosmetics ~
